Early Times Report

REASI, Sept 3: Nari Shakti Choupal was held on Tuesday at Community Facilitation Centre, Arnas as part of the "Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation" (SVEEP) initiative. The aim was to reach out to the voters in the far flung areas of district and to maximize voter turnout in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local masses including women of Self Help Groups, Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers.
The SVEEP team, led by Nodal Officer Sachin Sharma, provided comprehensive insights into the electoral process, encouraging all women to participate in the democratic process and cast their votes on 25 September 2024. He laid emphasis on various measures taken by District Administration to make voting accessible such as Pink Polling Stations for women, ensuring inclusivity in the voting process.
The program culminated with a pledge and mega mass rally by the participants to actively promote voter participation within their communities, aiming for a higher voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
Local Women, Youths, AWW's, ASHA's and Officials of the Social Welfare Department and Rural Department were present.
