Ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi Festival begins at Laxmi Narayan Temple

JAMMU, Sept 7: The grand celebration of the 10-day long Ganesh Chaturthi festival commenced today at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Gandhi Nagar with great fervor and devotion.
On the occasion, Shri Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar, along with the esteemed Trustees and Special Invitees were present.
The program began with special Pooja Archana followed by installation of the sacred Ganesh Murti (Murti Sthapana) amidst all the traditional Vedic rituals. Large number of devotees participated in the religious ceremonies, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for prosperity and well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Gulchain Singh Charak expressed his deep reverence for the festival, stating, "Ganesh Chaturthi is a time to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings for removing obstacles and bringing peace and harmony into our lives.
This festival not only strengthens our spiritual connection but also serves as a moment of cultural unity, where people come together to celebrate with faith and devotion.
The Former Minister said that the Lakshmi Narayan Temple has always been a spiritual hub, and the Trust is committed to preserve and promote our rich heritage through such sacred events. He also appealed to the people of Jammu to mark their presence in the Temple in the next ten days and make this festival a grand success.
The 10-day celebration will include daily Maha Aarti, devotional songs, and other cultural activities, culminating with the Ganesh-Murti- Visarjan on the final day ie 17th Sep.2024.
The Trustees of the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, along with the temples management, have made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival, while also encouraging devotees to follow all necessary guidelines for a peaceful and harmonious celebrations.
Besides large number of devotees,following prominent among those who participated include Sarv Shri S C Rekhi,(Genl Secy), Prem Sharma,Ramesh Thakur, V. K. Abrol, Parshant Sharma, Karan Singh, Jagjit Singh, P.C. Gupta,Sumesh Damral, Ved Verma, Smt Kiran Rajput, Krishan P Gupta, Sandeep Singh, Ashok Khajuria, Indu Bhushan Sharma, Kulbir Singh Chib, Pt.Ashwani Kumar (Head Pujari) alongwith other Pandits.
