DPS hosts District Level Roller Skating Championship

UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Delhi Public School Udhampur (DPSU) proudly hosted the *District Level Roller Skating Championship*, bringing together young athletes from five prominent schools in the region, India Kids, Amba School, Christian Academy, DPS Katra and DPS Udhampur. The event, marked by high energy and competitive spirit, showcased the immense talent and dedication of the participants. The event was organized by District roller skating association Udhampur under the able guidance of Kamal Anand (District In-charge) The event was graced by the presence of the *Honorable Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Udhampur, Dr. J. C. Gupta as the Chief Guest, he started the championship with a flag off to the budding skaters and declared the championship open.
The championship saw fierce competition as students displayed exceptional skill and determination. The skating rink at DPSU was buzzing with excitement as athletes competed in various categories, putting their best foot forward in a rigorous battle for the top spot.
After an intense series of matches, *DPS Udhampur* emerged as the *Overall Winners, securing the coveted **Winners Trophy*. The school's athletes demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple events, showcasing their dedication to the sport and teamwork. The school won 36 Gold Medals, 27 Silver Medals & 15 bronze in the championship . Mr Vivek Gupta MD DPSU & Ms Sucheta Gupta Director Academics congratulate team DPSU for winning the trophy .
Principal of DPSU, Dr. Kunal Anand congratulated all the participants for their hard work and sportsmanship. They lauded the efforts of the organizing committee, especially Coach of the School, Udhay Singh and his team comprising of Sanjay Singh, Anirudh, Ms. Udhamtika and Pankaj . They emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline and resilience among students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Propitious Principal Dr. Kunal Anand said, "It is a moment of great pride for us to not only host this prestigious championship but also to see our students excel in a sport that requires precision, stamina, and perseverance. This victory reflects the hard work of our coaches and students, and we are committed to promoting sportsmanship at the highest level."
The event concluded with an award ceremony, where trophies and medals were presented to the winning participants, encouraging them to continue their journey in sports.DPS Udhampur remains dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of its students, ensuring excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities. This victory adds another feather to the school's cap, reinforcing its reputation as a hub of talent and excellence in the region.
