Weekly plantation drive promotes greenery and environmental health in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 10: A weekly plantation drive held at Vishwa yog Sansthan, located in Harkipuri, Bagebagh, Jammu, continues to promote environmental health and greenery in the region. The drive, which takes place every Tuesday, aims to plant 1 lakh trees to contribute to a greener and healthier environment for the people of Jammu.
Today's plantation drive saw the participation of notable figures, including Bansi Lal Gupta (ex-corporator) who actively contributed to the event. Various beneficial trees and medicinal plants, known for their significance in Ayurveda, were planted, further enhancing the ecological and medicinal value of the initiative.
Yog Guru Karanji, addressing the citizens of Jammu, emphasized the importance of participating in this drive. He highlighted the need for collective efforts in creating a sustainable future for Jammu and Kashmir, noting that planting trees not only improves the climate but also benefits mankind. Karanji, who also offers free yoga classes, encouraged the community to actively join the movement, reinforcing the message of environmental stewardship.
This initiative continues to gather momentum as citizens unite for the betterment of the environment, driven by the shared vision of a greener, healthier Jammu.
