Celebration of Hindi Diwas at GDC Sidhra

JAMMU, Sept 13: NSS unit in collaboration with Department of Dogri today celebrated Hindi Diwas in the college premises. Every year Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14th of September to promote Hindi language nation wide and conveying its significance. The programme commenced with formal welcome by Dr. Pooja Sharma, Head Department of Dogri. She highlighted the importance of the day and stressed upon preserving and nurturing this language in order to promote universal brotherhood. She also briefed that Hindi is the only language that links our ancestry with present generations and thereby inculcating cultural linguistic heritage. In this connection the programme scheduled featured various activities such as poetry recitation, symposia, speech in Hindi language. Students of various semesters enthusiastically participated for the same.
