DARHAL, Sept 14: Government Degree College (GDC) Darhal today organized a SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) pledge ceremony on its campus, aimed at promoting voter awareness and encouraging students to actively participate in the democratic process. During the event, students and faculty members took a solemn pledge, committing to exercise their right to vote and contribute to the strengthening of democracy. The ceremony was led by the college's Principal, Prof. Zamir Mirza, in the presence of notable guests including Najma Niazi, CDPO Thanamandi Darhal, and faculty members Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Dr. M. Saleem Wani, Dr. Tahseen, Dr. Mohd Akhlaq, and Prof. Anzaar Ahmed. The SVEEP pledge is seen as a step toward ensuring that the next generation of voters is informed, responsible, and committed to the democratic process. |
