Government Degree College Samba signs MOU

JAMMU, Sept 14: SSPPND Government Degree College, Samba in a milestone towards fostering industry-academia collaboration has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Take One Television & Technologies Private Limited and Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Dealer Jamkash Trucking Private Limited, Samba. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen innovation, skill development, and growth in the media and automotive sectors respectively. Together, the two organizations plan to work on enhancing media content distribution, providing skill-building opportunities and exposure for students of GDC Samba through internships, hands-on trainingand knowledge-sharing initiatives. Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri Principal of the college along with Ms. DevyaniRana CEO Take One And Jamkash Trucking Pvt. Ltd. signed the MoU that represents a shared vision of progress, innovation and growth. The Principal, in her welcome address highlighted that the MOU envisions to promote Skill, Personality Development and Internships among students, with a focus on enhancing employability, technical skills, and exposure to commercial media and vehicle industry. Ms Devyani Rana, in her presentation, emphasized the importance of internships in shaping the future career of the students and remarked that such collaborations are essential for equipping students with the practical skills and industry exposure necessary to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market. She also encouraged the students to seize these opportunities explaining that the experience gained from working directly with professionals in the media and industries would significantly shape their future success. Earlier, Prof. Renu Rajput, Convenor BVOC and Skill Development Committee, emphasized that MoU would significantly enhance students' professional skills by offering practical exposure through internships. The programme was compered by Dr. Ramandeep Kaur and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Banpreet Kaur, Converor IQAC.
