| 6.5 grams of contraband heroin recovered, accused arrested | | |

UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: Continuing its #waragainstdrugabuse District Police Udhampur arrested one drug peddler and recovered 6.5 grams of heroin (chitta) like contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal.
Police Team of Police Station Rehambal led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking duty at Phalata naka point intercepted one suspicious person, who on seeing police party tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the police party.
On frisking of said apprehended person. Police team recovered 6.5 grams of Heroin like contraband substance from the above said accused person who has been arrested on spot.
In this regard, A Case FIR No. 208/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
Further investigation of case is underway. |
