Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 3: The Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) actively took part in the "Swachhata Hi Seva" (SHS) campaign held from September 15 to October 2, with the theme "Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhta." Throughout this campaign, JIAR members enthusiastically engaged in various activities aimed at promoting cleanliness, such as tree plantation drives, waste management efforts, and other initiatives to foster environmental awareness.
This campaign also served as a precursor to Swachh Bharat Diwas, celebrated on October 2 in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean India.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Nitin Mahajan, Principal of JIAR, with coordination from Dr. Poonam Gupta, Associate Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa, and Dr. Prabhakar. Dr. Mahajan highlighted the critical importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship for a sustainable future.
