SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Pandurang K. Pole, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jammu and Kashmir, along with Pramod Kumar Sharma, Principal Secretary, Election Commission of India, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Special Secretary, and Anil Salgotra, Joint CEO, met with Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today at Raj Bhawan.
During the meeting, the CEO presented a copy of the Notification issued by the Election Commission of India, in accordance with Section 73 of the Representation of People Act 1951 (43 of 1951). This document listed the names of the newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir following the recently concluded elections.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated Pandurang Pole on the successful completion of the electoral process. He also commended the efforts of the Election Officials, J&K Police, and security personnel for conducting a peaceful, transparent, and fair election, ensuring the smooth and democratic transition in the region. |
