Congress faces crushing defeat in Jammu region due to years of misleading & discrimination: Kavinder
10/10/2024 9:47:35 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 10: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, has strongly criticized the Congress party for its resounding defeat in the recently concluded elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the Congress party's loss-winning only a single seat in the entire region-was a clear reflection of the public's growing disillusionment with the party's policies of misleading the people of Jammu Province and fostering regional discrimination.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder Gupta said, "The Congress has always sought to manipulate the public, especially in the Jammu region, where it has repeatedly failed to deliver on its promises. The people of Jammu have finally given Congress a befitting reply at the ballot box, rejecting their false narratives and discriminatory approach."
He further noted that the Congress has consistently relied on its allies to maintain political relevance, a strategy that has now backfired. "Congress has shown that it cannot stand on its own and must rely on others for support, a sign of their weakening presence in the political landscape," he said.
The senior BJP leader pointed out that many key Congress leaders have already distanced themselves from the party, frustrated by its inability to break free from its obsession with 'family-driven politics.' He added that this growing internal discontent within the Congress is reflective of its inability to connect with the aspirations of the people and revive itself as a viable political force.
The former Deputy Chief Minister expressed his confidence in the BJP's continued dominance in Jammu and Kashmir, attributing it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the party's commitment to the development and welfare of the region. He stressed that the BJP's focus remains on delivering results, unlike the Congress, which has failed to keep pace with the changing demands of the public.
