| DC felicitates best performing BLOs, students for SVEEP Awareness | | |  Early Times Report
SHOPIAN, Oct 10: The District Election Office, Shopian today conducted a felicitation ceremony at GDC Shopian in order to recognise the exemplary work of staff and students for their SVEEP activities and awareness generation in the district in the Assembly Elections, 2024. The ceremony was presided over by the District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar who on the occasion expressed appreciation for all stakeholders who participated in the smooth execution of elections.
He congratulated students and BLOs whose exemplary work was recognised on the occasion.
He also thanked the people of the district especially women, old aged and specially abled voters for massively coming out in numbers for exercising their franchise in the elections.
Best Performing BLOs of both Assembly Constituencies of Zainapora and Shopian who excelled in increasing voter turnouts, were awarded with appreciation certificates and mementos.
Similarly, students who participated in SVEEP Reel, Painting and Quiz Competitions were also awarded with appreciation certificates and mementos.
The gathering was also addressed by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr Zakir Hussain Faaz and was attended by other civil and police officers and a mammoth gathering of staff and students. |
