Jammu, Oct 10: On October 9, 2024, DRS Kids International School in Harsah Dabbhar Bishnah celebrated the Navratri festival with great enthusiasm and splendor. This festival holds a special place in Indian culture, where the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. Students donned traditional attire to perform puja for Mata Navadurga, creating a divine atmosphere throughout the school.
The faces of the children were filled with joy and excitement as they danced to traditional Garba and Dandiya songs, showcasing their vibrant energy with colorful dandiya sticks. The music and rhythm brought the entire school to life, as the students’ performances not only fostered camaraderie but also instilled a sense of pride and respect for their cultural heritage.
Such events promote values of tolerance, cooperation, and unity among children. Festivals like Navratri help students understand the religious significance of celebrations while also teaching them to respect others' traditions and cultures.
