Opposition faces flak after its plea against LG's power got rejected in SC: Kavinder
10/14/2024 11:33:50 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 14: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday said that opposition parties have time and again faced embarrassment after challenging BJP government's moves and decisions in various courts. In a statement issued to media persons, Kavinder categorically mentioned the remark made by a Supreme Court Bench that it was not inclined to entertain the plea challenging the power vested on LG to nominate 5 MLAs to the J&K Assembly.
The BJP stalwart leader said that it was not the first time that BJP's opponents have knocked the doors of court against the decision of the government because it has become the tendency of Congress and its ilk to challenge the moves taken by the BJP government in the interest of the country like in case of Article 370 abrogation, etc. He said that BJP leadership and the government under its realms, always being politically and ethically righteous, have come out with flying colours as courts whether SC or any other have always upheld the saffron party's stance. He said that it is unfortunate that the political opponents without doing adequate home work go to the extent of knocking the doors of courts and every time face embarrassing situations like the one on Monday, when the SC's Division Bench out-rightly refused to entertain their plea.
