National Group Song Competition Organized

KATHUA, Oct 16: Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua Branch Organized an Interschool National Group Song Competition in the premises of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Shiva Nagar Today.
Hon'ble Member Legeslative Assembly, Dr. Bharat Bhushan was the Chief guest and Chief Education Officer, Sh. Mangat Ram Sharma Presided Over the function. The competition started with the traditional lighting of the candle by the chief guest, Special guests and other dignitaries present followed by recitation of Vande Matram. Seven teams from different schools of Kathua displayed their talent on this occasion. Hindi and the Sanskrit songs enriched with national spirit were selected from the book "Rashtriya Chetna Ke Svar" published by Bharat Vikas Parishad New Delhi. The participating teams presented their best creating an aura of soothing music and emotions.
Welcome address was presented by Sh. Gandharb Singh Katal Ex. President of Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua and Director of host institution. Prof. Dr. Ram Murti Sharma the Chief Patron of BVP highlighted the motto of the organisation and apprised the audiences of various social activities being undertaken by the branch. The adjudicators of the event included Sh. Inder Paul Gupta, Sh. Sunil Dutt Shad and Sh. Rajeev Sharma. Sh. Ashok Gupta, President BVP Kathua apprised the guests and gathering of the activities to be undertaken in the near future. The teams selected to be best today shall have to take part in the prant level competition to be held in R M Public School, Sainik Colony, Jammu on 25th Oct. 2024. First Position was secured by Learning Temple High School while second position was grabbed by Little Anglels' HSS School and Third position went to Shivalik Heights HSS Gurha Mundian.
Mangat Ram Sharma, while appreciating the role of the organization wished a bright and prosperous future for the students. He stressed upon the students to work hard to achieve their goals in life and prove themselves to be the precious citizens of tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, The Chief Guest Dr. Bharat Bhushan lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad in bringing up the best in the students by displaying their talent and enriching the society with the ethics and moral values.
The winners of the competition and participating contestants were given mementoes and the certificates by the present dignatries. Vote of thanks was extended by Sh. Kuldeep Goswami Secretary Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua. Present on the occassion were Sh. Ditt Kumar Sharma Treasurer, Vidya Rattan Sharma, Rahul Dev (Ex-Councilor). M.S Pathania retired Principal Higher Education, Dr. Darshan Sharma, Khem Raj Sharma , , Shivdarshan Singh, Sardar Khan(Retd. SSP), Shamsher Singh , Amarnath Sharma, Pawan Sharma, S P Badyal, Kapil Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Dwarka Nath, Pratap Singh, Chairmen of various Participating Schools, heads of different NGOs , Staff, Students and prominent citizens. The proceedings of the program were carried out by Sh. R.S Katal. The event ended with the recitation of National Anthem .
