JAMMU, Oct 16: In a significant step towards empowering women in technology and vocational skills, the Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Classic Enterprises, Jammu a leading manufacturer of home appliances. The agreement was formalized in a ceremony held at the Classic Enterprise's Gangyal, Jammu in presence of Er. Kamal Kumar TPO and Er. Naresh Gupta H.O.D E&C/Electrical Engineering of this Institution..
This partnership aims to provide students with valuable exposure to the home appliances industry, facilitating internships, hands-on training, and workshops. Through this collaboration, students will gain practical knowledge and skills that align with industry standards, enhancing their employability in a competitive job market.
Speaking at the event, Er. Suket Gupta, Principal of Govt. Polytechnic for Women Jammu, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. "This MoU marks a pivotal moment for our students, allowing them to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application in the industry. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create."
Sh. Sudhir Gupta, Managing Director of Classic Enterprises, emphasized the importance of investing in the next generation of women professionals. "We believe in fostering talent and empowering women in the workforce. This collaboration will help us nurture skilled individuals who can contribute meaningfully to our industry."
The MOU outlines various initiatives, including workshops on emerging technologies in home appliances, guest lectures by industry experts, and potential job placements for graduates.
