UDHAMPUR, Oct 16: Sunil Verma, District President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) from Udhampur, led a delegation of party workers to meet with NC Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his residence on Gupkar Road, Srinagar. The delegation offered their heartfelt congratulations on the NC's decisive victory in the recent Assembly elections and the subsequent formation of the government in Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, Sunil Verma honored Dr. Farooq Abdullah by presenting him with a traditional shawl, a gesture symbolizing the Udhampur unit's respect and appreciation for his leadership. Verma commended Dr. Abdullah's strategic guidance and the pivotal role he played in steering the party towards this electoral success, marking a momentous achievement for the National Conference.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the Udhampur district body for their relentless efforts during the election campaign. He urged the cadre to maintain their momentum and prepare diligently for the upcoming Panchayat elections. Dr. Abdullah emphasized the need to strengthen the party's grassroots presence and encouraged the team to actively engage with voters and address their concerns.
Sunil Verma echoed Dr. Abdullah's sentiments, urging party workers to build on the success of the Assembly polls and ensure a similar victory at the grassroots level. "It is essential for us to consolidate the achievements of the Assembly elections and work tirelessly to secure a resounding victory for the National Conference in the Panchayat elections," Verma stated. He called upon party workers to reach out to the people, listen to their concerns, and strengthen their trust in the National Conference.
