The Shri Ram School hosts Jammu & Kashmir Yuva Sansad

JAMMU, Oct 19: The Shri Ram Universal School, Jammu, in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education and the Erudite Youth Community, recently organized the Jammu and Kashmir Yuva Sansad. The two-day event aimed at fostering youth leadership and engaging young minds in the democratic process. Over 100 students from various government and private schools across Samba participated, taking part in dynamic discussions across three committees: the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM), Citizen Dialogue, and Bhartiya Press.
During the AIPPM, participants debated national issues such as education reforms and unemployment. The Citizen Dialogue focused on local concerns like environmental sustainability and youth participation in governance. Meanwhile, the Bhartiya Press committee reported on the debates, acting as the media representatives.
The committees were chaired by members of the Erudite Youth Community, including Surya Bali, Ayesha Hayaat, Advay Sharma, Shashwat Veer, and Suhas Koul. Conference President Shivani Vaid led the proceedings, ensuring meaningful discussions throughout the event.
Key figures from the school, including conveners Manpreet Kour, Purnima Gupta, and Radhika Sharma, played pivotal roles in organizing the event. Mrinalini Sambyal and Ayushi Angral were honored as Ambassadors of the Yuva Sansad.
The closing ceremony was graced by Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Samba, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he lauded the students' participation and highlighted the importance of youth involvement in democratic processes. Other notable attendees included Ekshu Sharma, Assistant Director of Handicrafts Samba, Kewal Krishan, Chief Education Officer Samba, Abhimanyu Kalsotra, Tehsildar Ramgarh, and Dr. Atul Hans, Director Academics at IDRS, all of whom commended the students' efforts.
Sonika Mahajan, Principal of TSUSJ, welcomed the esteemed guests and emphasized the role of the event in shaping future leaders. Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, and Rajni Gupta, Director of the school, thanked the guests and praised the participants and the Core Team for the event's success.
