DDC Chairman dedicates newly constructed KGBV building to girl students

DODA, Oct 19: In a landmark event, District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal inaugurated the newly constructed Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) building at Gandoh, marking a significant step towards empowering girls through education.
The event was attended by Chief Education Officer PL Thapa; DEPO Dr. Anis Ahmed; Executive Engineer PWD Gandoh , Mohd Atta Sheikh; Principal GHSS Gandoh Mohd Ayub Sheikh and ZEO Bhalessa, who is overseeing the functioning of the KGBV.
During the ceremony, Chairman Kotwal praised the leadership of Principal GHSS Gandoh and ZEO Bhalessa for their effective management of the institution. He extended his best wishes to the girls studying at KGBV, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and strive for a bright future. The students were also applauded for their powerful performance of a poem on the theme "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao," a reflection of the school's commitment to the education of the girl child.
In his address, Chairman Kotwal directed the Executive Engineer PWD to expedite the construction of a boundary wall around the KGBV building, ensuring a secure environment for the students. He also called upon the public to support the KGBV Warden in the smooth functioning of the school and expressed his gratitude to the local resident who generously donated land for the school's establishment.
