DODA, Oct 19: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal today inaugurated a newly constructed Dharamshala at the revered Kalgoni Mandir in Block Changa.
The event witnessed the presence of key officials including SDM Gandhoo, Arun Badyal, and Block Development Officer (BDO) Changa, Akeel Kamal. The Dharamshala has been constructed under the Capex DDC grant to benefit devotees.
The DDC Chairman stressed the significance of the Dharamshala in providing much-needed rest and shelter to devotees visiting the temple, especially during religious festivals and events. The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure in rural and remote areas.
The Dharamshala is expected to benefit hundreds of devotees, offering them comfortable and safe accommodations during their visits to the temple. Chairman Kotwal emphasized that such facilities not only improve the experience of the pilgrims but also support the cultural and religious heritage of the region. He reiterated the council's commitment to further improving public amenities across Doda to enhance the overall quality of life in the district.
