BARAMULLA, Oct 19: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) at the meeting hall of DC office here to review the progress of saturation of PM Vishwakarma scheme in District Baramulla.
At the outset, the chair was provided a comprehensive overview of progress made with respect to the implementation of Vishwakarma scheme in the district since its inception.
The DDC conducted a detailed review of the number of applications received from the artisans and craftspeople on the portal to access the scheme's benefits, as well as the status of the training programs provided and the distribution of kits among the trainees.
Minga Sherpa also held an in-depth review with the officers concerning the applications submitted by artisan trainees who have successfully completed their training and are eligible for the subsidized loan available through the Vishwakarma scheme.
The DDC instructed the committee members to ensure that the loan accessibility facility is easily available to beneficiaries of the PM-Vishwakarma Scheme who have acquired the necessary skills and are currently engaged in any form of trade.
The meeting was attended by the General Manager DIC, Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, and other concerned officers.
