DC Kulgam reviews progress on R&B, PMGSY Works

KULGAM, Oct 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today convened a meeting of officers to review the physical and financial status of works under the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
Executive Engineers from R&B and PMGSY briefed the chair about the progress made on various roads and buildings projects.
During the meeting, the DC stressed the need to accelerate the pace of ongoing projects, particularly focusing on meeting the macadamization targets set for the current year.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely execution of all works, emphasizing the importance of quality and accountability in the process. Later, the DC chaired a separate meeting with officers from (KPDCL) to assess the power supply situation in the district.
He instructed the concerned to ensure smooth and scheduled power supply to all areas of Kulgam.
The DC also reviewed progress made on construction of NH-444 Brazloo Bridge and instructed the concerned to ensure earliest completion of the bridge.
The meeting was attended by ACR, JDP and Executive Engineers from R&B, PMGSY, NH 444 besides BDOs and other officers.
