UDHAMPUR, Oct 19: A grand Attestation-cum-passing out Parade was held today at the Subsidiary Training Centre BSF Roun Domel, Dhar Road Udhampur district. The event was graced by Rajesh Kumar Gurung, Inspector General of the Subsidiary Training Centre, Udhampur, as the Chief Guest, who received the salute from the parade. A total of 312 new recruits from the states of Andhra Pradesh (120), Odisha (190) and West Bengal (2) participated in the parade after completing their 44 weeks of rigorous basic training. They took the oath of service to the nation and are now ready to proceed to their respective duty postings. The Chief Guest commended the officers and instructors of the Centre for providing exceptional basic training to the new recruits, molding them into hardworking, courageous, and disciplined soldiers. He expressed his appreciation for their dedicated efforts.
In recognition of excellence, the Chief Guest awarded trophies to recruit constables who excelled in various disciplines.
Sonam Shering, Commandant (Trg), extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
