Hosting PGTI for 3rd consecutive year matter of pride: Manav Gupta

JAMMU, Oct 19: Secretary, Jammu Tawi Golf Course Manav Gupta has said that hosting the Professional Golf Tour of India for third consecutive year is a matter of pride for them.
"The Jammu Tawi Golf Course has consistently demonstrated its commitment to promoting golf in India and providing an exceptional experience for players and spectators alike. Hosting the PGTI tournament for the third year in a row is a testament to the golf course's excellence and its pivotal role in elevating the standards of golf in India. I look forward to welcoming golf enthusiasts, media representatives and sponsors to witness this prestigious tournament" Gupta told reporters.
Pertinently, the fourth edition of the J&K Open will be held at the pristine Jammu Tawi Golf Course from October 23-26.
The tournament is supported by J&K Tourism. It's a part of J&K Tourism's initiative of promoting golf tourism in the region. The foreign challenge will be led by Czech Republic's Stepan Danek and American Dominic Piccirillo. "It's a great initiative to have foreign golfers compete in the domestic Indian event. The prize money is great and it's a win win situation for J&K. The tournament is supported by J&K Tourism. It's a part of J&K Tourism's initiative of promoting golf tourism in the region."
The total prize purse for the event is Rs 50 lakh. The Pro-Am event will be held on October 27 at the host venue Jammu Tawi Golf Course. The top Indian professionals participating in the event include Angad Cheema, Shaurya Binu, Yashas Chandra, Abhinav Lohan, Olympian Udayan Mane and Saarthak Chhibber, to name a few.
The organizers have assured safety amidst region-related perceptions.
