Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 29: It was all due to the alertness and swift action of the locals of Akhnoor that the nefarious design of Pakistani terrorists was foiled and many innocent lives were saved with the timely elimination of the infiltrators. Maj Gen Sameer Srivastava, GOC 1O RAPID lavished all praise on locals of Akhnoor for timely informing the forces about the movement of some suspects in the area.
“The people of Akhnoor played a pivotal role in the operation, providing vital information about the terrorists' presence.
Their bravery and cooperation with security forces enabled a quick response, ultimately leading to the successful elimination of the terrorists”, the GoC said.
It was all due to the timely information shared by the locals that security forces launched a swift operation and eliminated three dreaded terrorists in Akhnoor in a 28-hour-long operation that started on Monday and concluded on Tuesday.
The encounter began at 7:20 am, following a tip-off from local residents about suspicious movements in the area.
Security forces leveraged cutting-edge technology to ensure a precise operation. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and artificial intelligence (AI) were utilized for surveillance, pinpointing the terrorists' location. This strategic deployment allowed forces to corner and neutralize the terrorists efficiently.
Intelligence suggests the eliminated terrorists were planning a major attack in the region, following the successful conduct of elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Their intentions were thwarted due to the swift action of security forces.
Tragically, a four-year-old Belgian Malinois service dog, Phantom, sacrificed his life while leading the patrolling party. Phantom drew enemy fire, sustained fatal injuries, and saved the lives of many security personnel. His ultimate sacrifice will be remembered as a testament to the bravery and loyalty of our canine heroes.
