JAMMU, Nov 7: GGM Science College's Career Counselling and Placement Cell organized an interactive session on November 7, 2024, introducing senior undergraduates to the "SBI Youth for India Fellowship Program." The event, held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, featured Abhishek Ayyapan from SBI Youth, who discussed career prospects in the impact sector, highlighting growth potential and financial benefits.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Convener of the Career Counselling Cell, emphasized the importance of developing technical and soft skills for respectable placements. Prof. Lekh Raj advocated for more such programs to enhance student employability. Students also interacted with SBI professionals and fellowship alumni, learning about career opportunities in areas like education, health, and rural development.
The event showcased how impact sector roles contribute to society and personal growth, equipping students with essential skills like problem-solving and empathy. Faculty members, including Dr. Sharma, Prof. Brinder Kumar, and Prof. Bal Krishan, coordinated the session. Prof. Bal Krishan hosted the program, which concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Nisha.
