YCET hosts successful placement drive

JAMMU, Nov 7: Avi Softwares conducted a pool placement drive at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) in Jammu for students from YCET, IMS, MIET, MBSCET, LPU, TMU Moradabad, JUIT Solan, and the University of Jammu.
Avi Softwares is a product engineering, technology, and consulting services provider that partners with organizations to achieve business and digital transformation. Leveraging its cross-functional knowledge, deep sector expertise, and specializations in fields such as product engineering, digitization, hyper-automation, DevOps, cybersecurity, and data science, the company's mission is to accelerate innovation across the value chain.
A total of 50 students were shortlisted for the first round with Avi Softwares. At the end of the rigorous selection process, which included a written test and technical interview, eight students advanced to the interview round. Among them, two students, Mr. Varun Sharma from CSE 7th semester at YCET and one student from the University of Jammu, were selected to join the company with an annual package of approximately 4 lakhs.
The program was organized by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu. Many officials from both Avi Softwares and YCET participated in facilitating a smooth placement process. YCET is leading efforts to provide students in Jammu with firsthand placement experience. As part of its Social Responsibility initiatives, YCET's career counseling programs focus on empowering students with industry-ready skills, enhancing their chances for successful placements in on-campus drives. The college also organized multiple workshops for students on the latest industry topics, preparing them rigorously for placement drives.
Mr. Avinash Kumar, Director of Avi Softwares, along with Mr. Sahil Sharma, Senior Software Developer, Mr. Arun Kumar, Senior Software Developer, and Mr. Mohd Shakeeb, Senior Software Developer, praised the college for its efforts in nurturing and exploring young talent for a promising future.
YCET's Chairman Er. Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Managing Director Er. Renu Bangroo, Director Dr. (Prof.) Mukesh Kumar Rana, Dean Academics Er. Dinesh Gupta, and Chief Coordinator Er. B.R. Verma commended the college team for their efforts, extending best wishes to the successful students. The entire placement drive was meticulously coordinated by the Head of the Computer Science Department and placement coordinators, under the guidance of Er. Dinesh Gupta, who heads YCET's Training and Placement Cell.
