JAMMU, Nov 7: SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS, held a security and traffic review meeting at Jhiri to ensure a peaceful and incident-free event. The primary focus was on implementing effective security measures, managing traffic flow, organizing parking facilities, and ensuring crowd control. Emergency response protocols and interdepartmental coordination were also reviewed to facilitate safety and smooth movement for the large number of attendees expected.
The Jhiri Mela, a prominent Kisan Mela (farmers' fair), is anticipated to attract a substantial number of visitors from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi. Given this high turnout, extensive arrangements are in place to ensure a seamless and successful event. Security forces, traffic management teams, and support from the civil departments are collaborating to maintain crowd control, safety, and convenience.
