RAMBAN, Nov 11: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary on Monday chaired a meeting to review the performance of the Revenue Department.
The meeting saw participation from Revenue Department functionaries, including ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACR S. Harpal Singh; SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other key personnel.
The Deputy Commissioner assessed the services related to issuance of certificates and updating of revenue records, emphasizing the delivery of services as per the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) timeline. He directed officials to prevent unnecessary delays and ensure prompt issuance of certificates to applicants.
Highlighting the importance of transparency, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to conduct thorough verifications before turning down the applications and to provide clear, lawful reasons for the rejection.
To enhance accessibility, the Deputy Commissioner directed SDMs and Tehsildars to organize revenue camps in their areas to offer doorstep services and assist residents in correctly completing online applications, reducing application rejections.
For efficient record-keeping, the DC directed officers to maintain both physical and digital records and ensure the timely submission of revenue reports. Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars were instructed to ensure on-the-spot verification of Girdawari, attestation of inheritance, and other mutations, reducing delays and enhancing accuracy.
Further emphasis was laid on timely submission of information related to court cases, enabling expedited resolutions to public grievances.
