Jammu, Nov 13: Army Public School Damana, in collaboration with CoE Chandigarh, hosted an engaging Two-Day Capacity Building Programme on "Joyful Mathematics (PRP)" on 12th and 13th November 2024. The event aimed to transform the teaching and learning of Mathematics into an enjoyable and dynamic experience for educators.
The programme kicked off with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by insightful sessions led by Charan Singh Lalotra, TGT Mathematics from APS Janglot, and Bandana Manhas, TGT Mathematics from Jammu Sanskriti School. A total of 34 educators from various CBSE institutions participated in the workshop, exploring innovative teaching strategies to make Mathematics more engaging for students.
The core objective of the workshop was to help teachers create a positive and interactive learning environment, highlighting the importance of real-life connections, the use of technology, and creative teaching methods.
Manhas shared her expertise in integrating modern teaching techniques, focusing on topics such as Self-Learning Materials (SLM), GeoGebra, and the historical significance of the concept of zero.
The Principal of the School, Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, emphasized the significance of making Mathematics both exciting and relevant in today’s educational context. She expressed gratitude to the resource persons and participants for their contributions to the programme’s success. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Surabhi Rajput and Ms. Radhika Sharma, followed by refreshments for all attendees.
