ARNIA, Nov 27: THE Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Sabha members visited Village Rangpur Trewa located at Indo-Pak border, where they paid glowing tributes to social leader Phuman Ram, caling him a well-known personality among the social circles of Arnia border town.
JKBS' General Secretary R.L.Kaith in his tribute said, Phuman Ram was strong, courageous and always kept a smile on his face. He was not afraid to share his ideas and thoughts, regardless of what others think. He would speak his heart and his mind, and respect himself enough to stand up for himself, the causes he believed in, and the welfare of others. He would follow his intuition and wouldn't overthink everything. He played an important role in changing many social evils and had been a shining beacon of hope. He assisted and supported the financially weak and helped them in getting educated. Besides, he worked on various crucial economic issues raised by the agricultural labourers and women facing injustice in the area. Salute to him for his tremendous efforts, Kaith said. Others who spoke in praise of Phuman Ram included his elder son US Return Dr Sewa Mortan, RTI India News' Editor-in-Chief Sansar Singh Motan, Insp. Darshan Kumar Bassa, Hav. Des Raj Kaith, Hans Raj Loria, Mewa Ram Motan, Veerpan Motan, Dwarka Nandan and Jagdish Raj Kaith.
