11/27/2024 11:31:08 PM

Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Nov 27: To strengthen grassroots governance and ensure prompt delivery of services, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today held a Block Divas program at Panchayat Palma in Block Rajouri. The program witnessed active participation of the local community, who raised a series of developmental and administrative issues.
Concerns voiced by the public included the status of pipelines under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), upgradation of Government High School Palma, vacancies for subject-specific teachers, irrigation water supply for fields, land compensation, road connectivity, water supply issues, and establishment of an Anganwadi Centre and Health Centre in Kangota Panchayat.
Additional demands included improvements to the Charhan Main Market to Mang Gali Road, installation of electricity poles, a link road to BGSBU, CAPEX works, and roads leading to Vaishno Mata Mandir in Palma and Kotedhara. Requests for enhanced implementation of welfare schemes by the Animal Husbandry Department, and increased awareness of agricultural and horticultural schemes were also highlighted.
After a patient hearing, the DC addressed each issue and issued on-the-spot directions to resolve them. Key decisions and actions included:
DC directed ADDC, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa to conduct an inquiry into the construction of vermi compost pits in Panchayat Palma.
Instructions were issued to display the names of beneficiaries of all government schemes on the walls of the Panchayat Ghar, ensuring transparency in scheme implementation.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to doorstep delivery of services, promising resolution of grievances and proper follow-up on all raised issues.
Emphasizing public vigilance, the DC urged residents to actively report instances of drug peddling, assuring them that they could directly reach out to him.
The Block Divas was attended by ADDC Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, PO ICDS Mohammad Fareed and other district and sectoral officers, who actively participated in addressing public concerns. Simultaneously, block Divas was organised in all sub divisions across the district
