Degree College for Women, Kathua organized an educational visit to the Water Testing Laboratory, Kathua under the patronage of worthy Principal , Dr.Savi Behl and Dr. Inderjeet Kour, Convener, IQAC. This educational trip, organized as part of the curriculum for Skill Course for BSc Sem 1st (NEP) students to explore. for an insightful, hands-on experience in water quality testing. The visit provided students with the opportunity to explore cutting-edge lab techniques and deepen their understanding of the science behind water safety and environmental protection.
During the tour, students observed the various water testing procedures used to monitor water quality, Ph, turbidity including tests for contaminants such as heavy metals, bacteria, and chemical pollutants. Experts from the lab , Monika Sharma, water analyst cum lab in charge and Renu, Chemist walked students through the methodologies, equipment, and technologies involved in ensuring the safety of drinking water and local ecosystems.
