DPS Kathua celebrates 'Magnum Opus 2024'

KATHUA, Dec 16: Delhi Public School Kathua hosted its grand Annual Function 2024 , an occasion marked by grandeur, cultural brilliance, and academic celebration under the befitting theme, "Magnum Opus … a Symphony of Body and Mind."
The esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Balwant Thakur, Padma Shri Awardee and Former Cultural Ambassador to South Africa and Mauritius, lent an aura of distinction to the event. He was joined by Sher-e-Duggar Choudhary Lal Singh, Former Minister (Forest, Environment, Ecology & Health and Medical Education) J&K, and Ex-Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha.
The event was presided over by Smt. Kanta Andotra, Founder Chairperson, DPS Kathua and Former MLA, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire the school's commitment to excellence. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the school's Directors, Mr. Divya Suraj Partap Singh, Mr. Divya Chander Partap Singh, and Ms. Gauri Thakur, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in shaping the school's success.
The proceedings commenced with the School Song performed by the students of Grade XII, setting a reverent and celebratory tone for the day.
A series of vibrant dance performances followed, each illustrating the creativity, talent, and discipline of the students:

In addition to the cultural performances, students were honoured for their exemplary achievements in academics and co-scholastic activities, including 100% attendance awards and recognition of State Toppers in Olympiads, underscoring the school's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence.
The welcome speech was eloquently delivered by Master Samraj Singh, setting the stage for the celebrations. Mr. Vivek Arora, Principal of DPS Kathua, presented the Annual School Report, highlighting the institution's milestones, achievements, and initiatives over the past year.
As a gesture of gratitude and encouragement, faculty members were honoured by the school management for their dedication and contributions to the students' success.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Gauri Thakur, Director of DPS Kathua, who expressed her gratitude to the esteemed guests, parents, and participants for their unwavering support in making the event a resounding success.
