Business leader Rahul Sahai honored in Georgia

TABILISI, GEORGIA, Dec 23: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jammu Chapter and a prominent business leader from Jammu and Kashmir, was honored with the prestigious Business Leadership Award by the Dainik Jagran Group at a grand ceremony in Tbilisi, Georgia. Accompanying him was his wife, Rupika Sahai, Director of the Sahai Group of Companies, who was also recognized for her contributions to the business landscape.
The award acknowledged Rahul Sahai's exceptional leadership, his transformative impact on the business and industrial sector of J&K, and his role in fostering growth and innovation. As a stalwart in the region's business community, Sahai has served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K Council, Chairman of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), and now leads the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jammu Chapter.
In his speech, Rahul Sahai dedicated the award to the memory of his late father, Ram Sahai, and expressed gratitude to his family, especially his wife Rupika and daughters Riddhi and Akaisha, for their unwavering support. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by his family due to the demands of his leadership roles and thanked his colleagues, friends, and co-chairs from various organizations for their consistent encouragement.
Rahul Sahai said "I am deeply humbled to receive this recognition. This award is not just a personal milestone but a testament to the collective efforts of my family, colleagues, and the people of Jammu & Kashmir. My heartfelt thanks go to the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister, Jenab Omar Abdullah , for their visionary leadership and unwavering support of the industrial fraternity," Sahai remarked.
Sahai also highlighted the strength of India's growing economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reflected on the success of the G20 meeting held in Kashmir. He extended an invitation to business leaders from India and Georgia to visit J&K to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities.
The ceremony also paid tribute to the 11 Indians who tragically lost their lives in a Georgian ski resort, emphasizing the importance of resilience and community.
Several prominent Indian personalities were recognized for their contributions across various sectors. Notable awardees included Dr. Rupesh K. Singh, Associate Vice President, Adani Group, Acharya Manish, Founder of Jeena Seekho, Life Careers Ltd, and MD of HIMS, Geeta, Geeta University.
The event was attended by dignitaries from the Georgian government, adding an international dimension to the celebration.
