Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 1: Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, today emphasized the unprecedented development initiatives undertaken by the Modi government in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the transformative changes that have reshaped the region's infrastructure, economy, and social fabric under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The senior BJP leader was speaking after inaugurating a newly constructed deep drain (nallah) project at Ward No. 32, Himmat Colony. The development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 44 lakhs, aiming to tackle the long-standing issue of waterlogging and improve sanitation in the area. The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent leaders, including BJP JKUT Secretary Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, Ex Deputy Mayor Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, and other local representatives such as Rajesh Saini, Anil Angral, Raj Kumar, Vikram Sharma, and Happy Singh.
MLA Arvind Gupta extended New Year greetings to the people of Jammu West and J&K, wishing them prosperity, peace, and progress in the coming year, and expressing hope that 2025 would bring continued growth and opportunities for all.
Arvind emphasized that the abrogation of Article 370 and the subsequent policy shifts have opened doors for rapid progress and have brought J&K on the path of inclusive growth. "The Modi government has ensured that every corner of Jammu and Kashmir witnesses progress. From improved road connectivity to the expansion of educational and healthcare facilities, the region is seeing the fruits of a visionary leadership that is committed to uplifting the common man," he said.
The MLA further outlined the numerous developmental projects that have been launched, including the construction of world-class highways, bridges, and industrial corridors that are creating jobs and driving economic growth. "The push for infrastructural development in Jammu and Kashmir has been unmatched. We are witnessing projects that were once deemed impossible coming to life, bringing prosperity and opportunity to the people of the region," he added.
The senior BJP leader also praised the Modi government's welfare schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the Ujjwala Yojana, which have significantly improved the lives of the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society in Jammu and Kashmir.
"In the past few years, Jammu and Kashmir has undergone a radical transformation, with the people now enjoying access to basic amenities that were once a distant dream. This is a result of the vision and policies of Prime Minister Modi, who believes in empowering the citizens of this region and ensuring that Jammu and Kashmir progresses in tandem with the rest of India," he added.
Arvind Gupta reiterated his commitment to continue working towards furthering the goals of progress, prosperity, and peace for the people of Jammu West under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
