BARAMULLA, Jan 8: The Health Department Baramulla, in collaboration with local police, organized a special Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for police personnel in Kunzer and Kreeri blocks.
This initiative is aimed at equipping police personnel with essential life-saving skills, including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), airway management, bleeding control, and other critical techniques to stabilize accident victims until professional medical help arrives. As first responders to road accidents, police personnel play a vital role in reducing fatalities and ensuring timely medical intervention. The Health Department’s training underscores the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and healthcare providers, especially in remote areas, where rapid response can make a significant difference in saving lives. The BLS training, conducted by certified instructors, included practical demonstrations and hands-on experience, ensuring that police personnel are well-prepared to respond effectively during emergencies. The Health Department is committed to expanding this training initiative to other blocks within the district to ensure that police personnel across Baramulla are fully equipped with the necessary skills to handle emergency situations with confidence and competence. |
