MANDI GOBINDGARH, Jan 16: Desh Bhagat Global School celebrated the vibrant festival of Lohri with great zeal and enthusiasm, bringing the school community together to honor the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.
The festivities began with cultural performances by students and teachers, including traditional songs and dances that captured the essence of Lohri. The highlight of the event was the lighting of the traditional Lohri bonfire by the esteemed Chairman, Dr. Zora Singh, and General Secretary, Dr. Tajinder Kaur.
To mark the occasion, festive treats such as rewari, peanuts, and popcorn were distributed, spreading joy among the students.
Dr. Zora Singh and Dr. Tajinder Kaur extended their congratulations to the school community, expressing their happiness at witnessing the collective spirit of celebration. Principal Mrs. Indu Sharma also addressed the gathering, encouraging students to cherish and preserve their cultural traditions.
