MAJALTA, Jan 23: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta organized a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Program today as part of the ongoing Road Safety Week. The event aimed to raise awareness about road safety practices among students and faculty.
The session was graced by two key resource persons: Javed Kataria, Deputy Transport Inspector (DTI) Udhampur, and Inspector Sohan Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) Majalta. Both officials spoke on the importance of safe driving practices, adhering to traffic rules, and the significance of responsible behavior on the road. Their insights provided valuable knowledge to the attendees about preventing accidents and ensuring the safety of all road users.
The program was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal of GDC Majalta, Dr. Shalini Sharma, who emphasized the need for collective efforts in promoting road safety within the community. She expressed her gratitude to the NSS unit for organizing such an impactful event.
