| Red Ribbon Club of GDC Bishnah organises HIV/AIDS awareness activities | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 23: The Red Ribbon Club of GDC Bishnah organized a series of engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS among students. The events, which included a poster making competition and an awareness human chain rally, were held on 23rd January 2025 at the college premises.The poster making competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing their creativity and understanding of HIV/AIDS awareness through compelling artworks. Concurrently, the awareness human chain rally brought together students and faculty in a symbolic gesture of solidarity and commitment towards spreading awareness about the disease.
The judging panel for the poster making competition comprised of esteemed faculty members: Prof. Sania Hamid, Associate Professor in Botany, and Prof. Sonika Khajuria, Assistant Professor in Chemistry.
After careful evaluation, the winners of the poster making competition were announced. The prizes were awarded to the following talented participants:
First Prize: Miss Niharika Charak
Second Prize: Miss Ariba Ansari
Third Prize shared by Muskaan Bharti and Meenu Devi
Consolation prizes shared by Mohit Sharma and Rajat Raina.
The Red Ribbon Club extends its gratitude to all participants, judges, and volunteers who contributed to the success of these awareness activities. Such initiatives not only foster creativity among students but also play a crucial role in educating and sensitizing the community about HIV/AIDS.The entire program was conducted under the aegis of Principal of the college Dr Shallu Samyal. |
