| 2 drug smugglers, arrested by Samba police | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Jan 23: Samba Police has today achieved a major success in its war against narcotics with the arrest of two drug smugglers and recovery of 255.37 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a Police party headed by SHO PS Ramgarh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, intercepted two pedestrians near village Rakh Abtal who were coming from Rakh Abtal and moving towards Ramgarh. During checking, 255.37 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from their possession.
Both the drug smugglers identified as Sukesh Kumar S/o Kishor Rishidev and Kishor Rishidev S/o Dhaneshar both resident of Tamganj Toufir, district Araria (Bihar) A/P Pardi Chak Jawhar tehsil Ramgarh district Samba have been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 03/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
The arrested duo happens to be the father and son involved in illegal trade of narcotics smuggling and were used to supply heroin (Chitta) among the youth in the area.
SSP Samba warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities and urged upon the citizens to cooperate with the police to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society. |
