Mother India Sr Sec School bids farewell to class 12 students

JAMMU, Feb 3: A heartfelt Farewell Function was organized at Mother India Sr. Sec. School, R.S. Pura to bid adieu to the outgoing Class 12 students. The event was hosted by the school management and staff, with Ch. Mohan Singh, Chairman of the Managing Committee, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Career Counsellor, as the Special Guest.
The function commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Mrs. Sonia Tohra. Students presented various cultural performances, including Saraswati Vandana, Punjabi Bhangra, singing, and a comedy skit, making the evening memorable.
A special three-round competition was held to select Mr. and Miss Mother India, where Vansh Sharma (Science Stream) won the Mr. Mother India title, and Rajinder Kour (Commerce Stream) was crowned Miss Mother India. The chief guest honored the winners with mementos, and all outgoing students received farewell gifts.
In his address, Ch. Mohan Singh praised the Event Management Committee of Class 12, consisting of ten students, for organizing a well-coordinated function. He also appreciated the teachers for their dedication, stating, "Teachers work tirelessly to guide and motivate students, shaping their future with the right direction." He wished Class 12 students the best for their board exams.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Raj Kumar, Advisor to the Management Committee. Several staff members, including Naresh Choudhary, Arjun Kapoor, Narinder Singh, Ankush Gupta, Ravinder Choudhary, Parampreet Kour, Amita Choudhary, Rupali Verma, Dr. Shikha Kapoor, Shivali Sharma, Shabana Azmi, Sonali Choudhary, Kajal, Narinder Kumar, Kanav Pikhan, Sushil Kumar, Ritu Devi, Neeraj Bahadur, and Sukhdev Singh, graced the occasion with their presence.
