Jammu police busts burglars, recovers Rs 12 lakh worth stolen property

JAMMU, Feb 6: In a major crackdown on burglars, Jammu Police have successfully solved four theft cases, arresting the accused and recovering stolen property worth nearly Rs 12 lakh. Swift action and thorough investigations of Jammu Police have reinforced public trust in law enforcement agency.
Telecom Equipment Theft case solved: In the first case, police Solved a telecom equipment theft case at an Indus Towers Ltd. site at Chak Jaffer, Jammu. Acting swiftly, officers arrested Mohd Arif Raina and Uttam Kumar in Case FIR No. 176/2024 U/S 303(2) BNS of PS Kanachak. Stolen telecom equipment, including an RRU is recovered from Gharota.This gang is involved in many telecom thefts in District Jammu and further recoveries are expected from them as investigation is in initial stage.Uttam kumar is a professional thief involved in a similar FIR in Gujrat.
Jewellery theft Worth Rs 7 Lakh Solved: In an another breakthrough, police cracked a major jewellery theft case in Mishriwala, where a 13-year-old minor and his two associates stole approximately 10 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh.The stolen jewellery, was sold to a goldsmith in Deheran Khour, cash amounting to 06 lakh and one golden Tikka was successfully recovered from goldsmith and three juveniles.All juveniles were taken into protective custody and goldsmith arrested in Case FIR No. 13/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS of PS Kanachak, marking a significant success in curbing organized theft Crimes
Swift Recovery of Stolen Calf in Purkhoo: In a unique case, police promptly solved the theft of a cow's calf in Purkhoo. Upon receiving a complaint from Anita Sharma, officers arrested Rohit Kumar and Shamsher Singh alias Pippy under FIR No. 26/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS of PS Kanachak. The stolen calf was recovered and safely returned to its rightful owner.
Cattle lifting gang busted in Akhnoor area.
Cattle lifting gang busted in Akhnoor area,02 accused arrested in this case and Police recovered one Buffalo and Horse on their disclosure. This Gang is very active in Akhnoor and Gharota area,further recoveries are expected from them in coming days.
The whole operation is done under the close supervision SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh JKPS.
