BJP strategizes for Budget Session, vows to corner NC Govt on Mehdi's statements

Jammu, Feb 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting of its party MLAs at its headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to devise a strategy for the upcoming budget session of the Legislative Assembly.
The party has decided to aggressively oppose and corner the government for its failure to fulfill promises made in its election manifesto.
Sources revealed that BJP legislators would specifically target the government over contentious statements made by National Conference Lok Sabha member from Srinagar, Aga Rahullah Mehdi.
BJP legislators, sources said, would rake up recent statement of Rahullah Mehdi who raised the demand of restoring pre-1953 position in J&K.
Meanwhile, according to an official handout the meeting was attended by top party leaders, including Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, and Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP.

Sunil Sharma assured that BJP MLAs would highlight every single issue of the people in the house and fight for their rights. He reiterated the party's commitment to the welfare of the masses, citing the principle of "Antodaya," which prioritizes the welfare of the most neglected, distressed, and oppressed.
Ashok Koul noted that the BJP has won the trust of the people in Jammu and Kashmir, securing 29 MLAs in the 2024 Assembly elections. He emphasized the responsibility of BJP MLAs to uphold this trust and work towards the betterment of the region.
The BJP's strategy for the budget session is clear: to hold the government accountable for its promises and to prioritize the welfare of the people. As the session approaches, all eyes will be on the BJP's efforts to corner the government and push for meaningful change in Jammu and Kashmir.
