RAMGARH, Feb 11: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, in collaboration with the Computer Science Department, organized an Awareness Workshop on Online Safety to mark Safer Internet Day. The event, themed "Together for a Better Internet," aimed to promote safe, responsible, and ethical internet usage. Under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, with the support of IQAC Convener Dr. Aditi Khajuria and HoD Computer Applications Mr. Darpan, the workshop featured an awareness lecture and informative audio-video presentations. Darpan led the session, highlighting online threats like phishing scams, malware, and identity theft. Through PowerPoint presentations and videos, he demonstrated the consequences of unsafe online practices and shared practical cybersecurity tips, including strong password practices and secure data handling. The event successfully engaged students and faculty, equipping them with strategies to recognize phishing attempts, protect personal information, and browse safely in an increasingly digital world. |
