Architects of Viksit Bharat
2/16/2025 10:01:11 PM

As India strides towards its centenary of independence in 2047, the vision of a Viksit Bharat—a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous nation—rests on the shoulders of its youth.
With over 65% of the population under 35, India is not just a country of young people but a powerhouse of potential. The strength of our nation will be determined by the values, innovation, and knowledge that our youth embody, and those graduating in this Amrit Kaal will shape the destiny of our nation. If harnessed effectively, this demographic dividend can propel India to become the largest economy in the world.
India has already emerged as a global hub for startups, ranking third in the world in terms of the number of unicorns.
The energy, creativity, and problem-solving mindset of young entrepreneurs are fueling this transformation.
The government’s initiatives, such as Startup India, Digital India, and Make in India, have provided a fertile ecosystem for innovation. Young minds must seize this opportunity to build enterprises that create wealth, generate employment, and position India as a leader in cutting-edge industries like artificial intelligence, green technology, and biotechnology.
For India to become the largest economy, its youth must be equipped with world-class education and skills. The National Education Policy 2020 has set the foundation for a multidisciplinary, research-driven, and skill-oriented education system. However, beyond academic knowledge, young people must cultivate problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and digital literacy. Skilling initiatives, vocational training, and industry-academia collaboration must be enhanced to ensure that graduates are job-ready and capable of contributing to economic growth.
India has shown remarkable prowess in digital transformation, leading the way with innovations like UPI, Aadhaar, and JAM Trinity. The youth, as digital natives, must leverage technology to drive economic expansion. From fintech to e-commerce, from AI-driven automation to blockchain-based governance, the adoption and innovation of emerging technologies can catapult India to the top of the global economic order.
A strong economy is not just about numbers; it is also about character. The youth must be torchbearers of ethical leadership, integrity, and national pride. The spirit of nation first must be ingrained in every young Indian, ensuring that economic progress is accompanied by social justice, environmental sustainability, and inclusivity.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi often emphasizes, Yuva Shakti is the driving force that will determine India’s future.
The youth must embrace their role as nation-builders, not just job seekers but job creators, not just learners but problem solvers, not just employees but leaders. By fostering innovation, pursuing excellence, and upholding strong values, they will not only make India a Viksit Bharat but also the world’s largest economy.
