JAMMU, Feb 27: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Jammu, organized an Orientation Programme for its BBA and BCA 2nd semester students, setting the tone for the upcoming academic session. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director, IMS, who greeted the students and faculty while outlining the key expectations and opportunities in the semester ahead. The first session featured a Guest Lecture on Financial Markets by Mr. Vishesh Choudhary, Founder of Vyapar Street and an esteemed alumnus of IMS. He emphasized the significance of financial awareness among students and the practical application of financial knowledge from an early age.
Adding an interactive element to the event, students participated in an engaging "Good Idea and Bad Idea" activity, where they refined and improved suboptimal business concepts, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The orientation also included a Design Thinking session led by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, encouraging students to adopt a creative and structured approach to problem-solving in business and technology.
