Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 27: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta chaired a crucial meeting to discuss the upcoming Women's Day celebrations, with a special focus on financial empowerment and organ donation awareness.
The meeting, attended by BJP Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra, Parbhari Anuradha Chadak, General Secretary Neha Mahajan, Prerna Nanda, Media Incharge Poonam Gupta, Suman Raina, Santosh Sharma Ji, and Neena Gupta, deliberated on various initiatives to highlight the achievements of women beneficiaries under several welfare schemes launched by the Modi government.
During the meeting, the BJP stalwart emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating the role of women in nation-building. He stated that Women's Day should not be just a symbolic occasion but a platform to acknowledge the progress made by women through the Modi government initiatives like Mudra Yojana, Lakpati Didi, Jan Dhan Yojana, Startup India, Standup India, PMEGP, Svanidhi, and SHG financial assistance. He highlighted that these schemes have significantly contributed to the financial independence of women across the country.
The senior BJP leader also underscored the importance of organizing district-wise events where women beneficiaries of these schemes will be invited to share their success stories. He said that by showcasing these achievements, the BJP aims to encourage more women to take advantage of these government programs and strengthen their economic standing.
Another key agenda of the meeting was the promotion of organ donation awareness as part of the Women's Day celebrations. Kavinder Gupta stressed that organ donation is a crucial aspect of modern healthcare and that women, being the backbone of families, can play a pivotal role in spreading awareness about this noble cause. He proposed that special camps be set up during Women's Day events where organ donation forms will be made available for those willing to pledge their organs voluntarily.
The former Deputy Chief Minister urged all BJP Mahila Morcha leaders and karyakartas to actively participate in these programs and ensure their successful implementation. He reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to women's empowerment and health awareness, stating that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the party has prioritized the upliftment and well-being of women in every sector. BJP Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra, in her address, said that the Modi government has empowered women through various initiatives that have helped them achieve financial stability and self-reliance. She emphasized the need to reach out to more women and ensure they benefit from these schemes. She also urged women leaders and party workers to actively participate in the Women's Day events and work towards the upliftment of women across all sections of society.
