Strict action against drunk driving, stunt biking on Holi: Police

Jammu, Mar 13: On the eve of festival of colours—Holi—the Jammu Traffic Police have issued an advisory stating strict action against the hooligans, drunken driving and particularly against stunt biking.
In an advisory issued here, Jammu Traffic Police said that as Holi will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jammu City also and keeping in view the traffic scenario, the general public especially the motorists are informed that no wrong parking and road side parking would be allowed anywhere for the celebration of the festival which causes unnecessary jamming and congestion.
“Further, all the motorists have been informed that strict action shall be taken against drunken driving, over-speeding, stunt biking, reckless driving, dangerous driving, without crash helmet,” said Police in an advisory.
“Special focus will be on stunt biking and motorists are informed not to perform stunts which endangers their life as well as of other people,” it read adding that in addition, the event organizers of Holi festival in Jammu city have been advised to follow traffic rules and regulations to maintain safe and hassle-free movement of traffic during the celebrations.
