Rajouri, Mar 13: Vice-Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, chaired a high-level meeting with Deans of various schools, Heads of Departments (HoDs), and Directors to discuss key academic and administrative matters aimed at enhancing the university’s overall performance.
The meeting focused on strengthening academic quality, implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting research and innovation, and improving student welfare initiatives. Prof. Iqbal emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach in fostering a dynamic learning environment and urged faculty members to prioritize student-centric policies.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on curriculum development, infrastructure enhancement, faculty training programs, and initiatives to boost industry-academia collaboration. The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the university’s commitment to excellence and encouraged departments to take proactive measures in advancing interdisciplinary research and skill-based education. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal assured full support in addressing challenges and implementing progressive reforms.
A significant focus of the meeting was the preparation for the forthcoming Academic Council meeting. Departments were asked to submit their agenda items in a timely manner pertaining to on academic reforms and curriculum enhancements.
Prof. M. J. Warsi, Dean Academic Affairs, was also present in the meeting and provided valuable insights on academic planning, curriculum reforms, and the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Controller of Examination, Associate Deans, Heads, Incharge Directors, Principals and Coordinators of various departments attended the meeting.
